Okay, Marilyn. Where are you getting these weird titles? Following the Breadcrumbs? Behind the Breadcrumbs, The Loafdown?
Well, I was in the car with my daughter, Holly, one of my daughter’s best friends, Brittnie, and her mother, MJ. We were out for a day of thrifting. Along the way, I shared I was going to be starting a newsletter and a blog. I said I wanted to call the newsletter Following the Breadcrumbs because that’s what it felt like I had been doing - I was following the path of breadcrumbs God had been laying out for me. I asked them if they thought I could call the blog by the same name.
They asked what the blog was going to be about. I told them I wanted to give my readers the lowdown of things in the Eastport Series–where ideas came from, little things that are tucked away in each book, things about Eastport itself, and occasionally, things that are happening outside of all that.
MJ suggested calling the blog “Beyond the Breadcrumbs”. Holly laughed and said, “The Loaf.” Brittnie chimed in with, “The Loafdown”. We had a good laugh about all that, but in the end I thought, “Yes, that’s it! The Loafdown!" The loafdown is like its cousin, the lowdown - it gives inside information, it tells the whole story, warts and all, and like me, it's soft on the inside and a little crusty on the outside.
And that, my friends, is The Loafdown.
